How one batch actually moves from draft to sent
Four stages, and the one decision that collapses N.
The four drafts in step 02 do not appear at the same moment. They go through four distinct stages. The benefit this page is named after materializes at stage 3 and survives into stage 4 as an audit trail, not as a loss of visibility.
Stage 1 — The drafting happens invisibly
Clone opens Gmail, pulls the right template, and writes four personalized drafts using last week's call notes. The user sees nothing yet. This stage is what every cloud BPA platform claims to do well. It is also the stage where the approval tax has not been paid.
Stage 2 — The preview batch renders
The four drafts are listed with named recipients and 'ready to review' tags. The user sees the whole batch at once. They can open any draft and inspect it. This stage is where fire-and-forget automation diverges from Clone: fire-and-forget skips the batch; Clone materializes it.

Every SERP benefit is a throughput metric
Kissflow lists cost, accuracy, speed, compliance, scalability. Springverify adds standardization and morale. Blueprism adds hyperautomation. Flowforma adds customer satisfaction. Every one of these is a per-unit property: cost per run, errors per run, time per run. None describes the unit at which a human has to say 'yes, ship it'. That unit is the approval unit, and it is where Clone's benefit lives.
Four drafts, one decision
In step 02 the preview batch has four rows. Each carries a named client (Sarah, Daniel, Priya, Miguel) and its own personalized draft. The user does not approve four times. One sentence ships all four. The approval economy just went from N decisions to 1.
Per-item visibility is not lost
Fire-and-forget automation gets to one decision by hiding the items. Clone does not. The four rows are visible, each tagged 'ready to review', each opening a full draft. The human keeps the audit they would have done with N decisions. What they give up is the N taps. What they keep is the N inspections.
The '4.2 hours' number has a unit: per-item taxes not paid
Step 04's closing line is '4.2 hours of admin completed while you were asleep.' A non-trivial share of that 4.2 hours is not the drafting time; it is the per-item approval tax that never ran because the approval was batched. A fire-and-forget platform would have saved the same drafting time but also removed visibility. A Zap with four steps and four approvals would have saved neither. Only the batch-preview-then-one-decision shape saves both.
Batch approval is orthogonal to cost and speed
Cost reduction says 'fewer dollars per run'. Speed says 'fewer minutes per run'. Batch approval says 'fewer decisions per N runs'. The unit is different, which is why it survives even after the other benefits plateau. If your drafting is already instant and free, the approval tax is the last tax left.
This is why Zapier cannot cite it
Zapier's unit is the Zap run. Each run approves itself (the trigger fires, the branches execute). There is no 'preview the batch, ship it on one input' surface. For a human to approve four personalized emails you build four Zaps with four manual Slack approvals, which is four decisions, not one. The platform's architecture encodes per-item approval; the benefit never materializes.
HoneyBook ships per-client templates, not batch drafts
HoneyBook puts a template behind each client record. You open record #1, approve, close. Open record #2, approve, close. The template saves drafting time but not the approval tax. There is no moment when four records line up on one screen under one 'Send them all.' input.
A virtual assistant is the only competitor who can
A human VA with Monday morning agency can draft four follow-ups and ask 'ready to send all four?' on Slack. The batch approval is there. The rest of the trade-off is not: $3K to $6K per month, weekends off, no Monday 8am cron, vacation gaps. Clone is the VA's approval economy at the $49 flat price.

The structural claim in one paragraph
Throughput benefits are what the machine does. Approval-economy benefits are what the machine lets the human stop doing.
A BPA platform that saves five hours of drafting and then asks the operator to approve four drafts one at a time has given back a share of those five hours as approval tax. The net benefit of the system depends on the shape of the approval surface, not just the throughput of the draft engine. This is the part every SERP list ignores.

Why is this benefit missing from every top SERP article?
Because cloud BPA platforms architecturally cannot produce it. Zapier's unit is the Zap run; every run approves itself (no per-item human gate) or requires a per-item Slack approval step (N decisions). There is no 'batch preview under one Send them all input'. Kissflow and the other mid-market vendors describe benefits at throughput granularity (cost, accuracy, speed) because that is the granularity their architecture supports. Is this just 'bulk send' rebadged?
No. Bulk send sends the same email to N recipients. The batch in how-it-works.tsx sends N different emails, each personalized to one recipient using notes from last week's calls. Bulk send is the zero-visibility floor of the approval-economy curve. Batch-preview-then-one-decision is the full-visibility one-decision point.
What about Zapier's 'batch' feature or Make's 'iterator-aggregator' pattern?
Those are execution-side primitives: the flow collects items into a batch to process more efficiently, not to surface to a human for one-input approval. The human never sees a named-recipient preview and there is no 'Send them all.' input. The engineering term 'batch' is overloaded. What this page names is a batch at the approval layer, not the execution layer.
Does this benefit require the Computer Agent, or could a traditional API-only tool produce it?
In principle a traditional API-only tool could produce a preview UI and a one-button-ships-all control. In practice none of the major BPA platforms does, because the approval surface is typically built per-step in a workflow editor, not per-batch.
